Actuator assistance & damping
A proposed assistance and damping layer for compatible body-worn mechanisms.

FIELD DOSSIER / TQ-10
Mechanical / assist module
- Target mass
- 0.8–1.5 kg per module
- Target size
- 220 × 90 × 60 mm
- Fit / configuration
- Joint-specific mounts
Exploratory single actuator enclosure; harness, power hub and load fixtures excluded.
Force, torque and load ratings remain undefined; no assistance performance is claimed.
CURRENT STUDIES & ORIGINAL REFERENCES
Every angle. Every detail.
Bound the physical action
Study actuator assistance, damping and load paths with explicit force, travel and timing limits. Power packs, heat, fit and retreat behavior need their own budgets; a named mode does not establish a safe amount of assistance.
Local protection
SPARTA grants finite authority, the Resource Fabric checks feasibility and a destination controller enforces physical limits. Loss of permission, power or trustworthy sensing must lead to a defined mechanical safe state.
