Ocular / visor assembly

PROPOSED DESIGN TARGET
Target mass
350–600 g
Target size
230 × 160 × 120 mm
Fit / configuration
VANTARA helmet interface

Proposed visor and optical module only; helmet structure excluded.

Clearance and ocular protection require independently validated optical and fit requirements.

SPEC v0.2 / 2026-10-08CAD + WEIGH-IN PENDING
01

Preserve the direct view

Study passive optical protection, adaptive shading, an emergency shutter, cameras and a visor display. Optical quality, glare, sensor saturation, eye-safe exposure and field of view need validated requirements.

02

A guiding star

SOL may display an authenticated Aqua Vacuum beacon as a guiding-star interface cue. Direction, range, age and confidence remain separate. A synthetic star on a visor does not establish physical beacon visibility over an arbitrary distance.

03

Views and commands

Remote scout views begin in a bounded panel that preserves wearer orientation and direct sight. Selecting a destination is separate from requesting a maneuver. Accepted permission and measured execution are distinct events.

04

Degraded operation

Loss of trusted tracking removes confident directional guidance. Loss of the display requires independently engineered local warnings and physical controls within their verified envelope; NIRVANA's optional media yields to urgent alerts.
