The selected first use case

The v0.2 proposal is broad-field daylight Earth-limb and cloud-context observation. A scene is stored with capture time, available geometry, sensor quality, resource state, command outcome and integrity evidence, then delivered after contact resumes.

What success would mean

The minimum proposed result is one valid package captured before a known contact gap and delivered afterward, with mandatory fields, verified image integrity and one unambiguous command outcome. The larger proposed campaign attempts ten opportunities and returns at least eight valid packages. These are requirements to test, not achieved results.

Own the evidence chain

Original image bytes remain linked to previews and derived summaries. A displayed observation shows its source, capture age, live-or-recorded status and available uncertainty. Repeated commands must not silently duplicate capture.

The development path

Start with a laboratory demonstrator and compare hosted versus standalone flight options using mass, power, thermal, data, pointing, contact and operating budgets. The first mission does not deploy free-flying HALOs or carry a person.

A descriptive title

Space ASSET is a working description, not an approved product name. VANTARA, SOL and Aqua Vacuum remain a separate later person-centered branch. The illustration shows that later vision, not a design or measurement from the uncrewed demonstrator.
